How do I write a good prompt?

A good prompt gives the AI four things: a role, a clear task, the context it needs, and the format you want back. Instead of 'write a sales email', try 'You are a B2B copywriter. Write a short, friendly follow-up email to a prospect who missed our demo. Keep it under 120 words.'
